I haven’t commented on the decision my the RID Board to place a moratorium on RID certification testing because all of the information I have is the same as everyone else.
While attending the 2015 National Conference in New Orleans, I found out the news about the same time as everyone else. As an Affiliate Chapter (AC) president, I was able to interact with other AC presidents. We were/are all in the same position – we weren’t made aware of the decision before it was announced to all and we haven’t been privy to any additional information.
I realize this amounts to no additional knowledge, but I just wanted to demonstrate neRID’s desire to be as transparent as possible.
If you haven’t seen this information already, here are the statements that RID has issued, as well as some local responses that you can consider.
neRID will do everything we can to promote, develop and grow the ASL communities of which we are members.
